CP Sermon Library includes built-in analytics to track sermon engagement. Analytics tracking is always active.

Accessing Analytics

Navigate to Messages → Analytics to view the analytics dashboard.

Available Metrics

The analytics dashboard tracks these metrics:

Overview Stats

  • Video Plays — Total number of sermon video plays (counted after 30 seconds of playback)
  • Audio Plays — Total number of sermon audio plays (counted after 30 seconds of playback)
  • Average Watch Time — Average duration of media playback
  • Engaged Plays — Number of plays where the visitor watched/listened for a significant portion (70%+)

Per-Sermon Table

The dashboard includes a table showing individual sermon performance:

  • Views — Total plays for each sermon
  • Average Duration — Average listening/watching time
  • Engaged Plays — Plays with significant engagement

Date Range Filtering

Filter analytics by time period using the dropdown at the top of the dashboard:

  • Past 7 days
  • Past month (30 days)
  • Past year (365 days)

Using Analytics Data

Analytics data can help you:

  • Identify popular content — See which sermons get the most plays
  • Measure engagement — Compare engaged plays vs. total plays to understand attention
  • Optimize sermon length — Use average duration data to find ideal content length
  • Track trends — Monitor how sermon consumption changes over time

Privacy Considerations

  • Analytics tracking is built into the media player
  • No personally identifiable information is collected
  • Data is stored in your WordPress database
  • Compatible with common cookie consent plugins
